Cancer Got Well Union of Guilin was established in 1990. It is a social organization which has its own corporation consists of cancer patients voluntarily. There are more than 1000 members has registered in the association, and now, there are 800 members in it. Among them, 68% are healthy for five years. The exports say that it is a new attempt to seek a Chinese model of cancer recovery, it also is a continuation, a improvement and a supplement for routine treatment in hospital.

·Her mission is to offer information about cancer, moral support, group anticancer and impart Guolin Qigong.
·Her key points of work are to help the new patients who accept the routine treatment look for the natural and special treatment except medicine and stick at these, mind cure, body treatment, dietotherapy and chemotherapy from beginning to end.
·Her service is to impart Guolin Qigong systematically everyday, rain or shine; to invite oncology expert to give lecture; to invite anticancer star to talk about their experiences; dance or sing and play games, etc. The recovery tour let patients accept these group mind cure in the relaxed activities, such as, Qigong, confidence, happiness, music, dance, imagine and relaxed therapy.

For these 15 years, the association is used to be regarded as a special school of testing for life quality, as a health cradle, as a homeland of reraising the hope of life. Most trainees join in the line of volunteers who offer the service to the new patients in every town. In 2004, it became the central experimental base of WHO China healthy education and health improvement.
The union’s experiences of anticancer attract many people’s attention home and abroad. Then she has received doctors and representatives successively from American, Japan, Germany, Canada and other twenty countries as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong. Moreover, she also enrolls students from those countries to train. The school leadership has visited in succession Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in order to give an account of running school model of group anticancer.
This special school which is established and managed by the patients recovered from cancer will improve its quality continuously. At present, we do not have the location of a school and everybody all learn Guolin qigong in the activity centre of Seven Star Park Association. As we all know, parks in Guilin own fine environment and fresh air. So the school wishes that more patients home and abroad could get the road to healthy and hope through the systematic study to greet a new day as a good health and sound mind.

The Guilin Cancer Recovery School was originated by Guilin Cancer Recovery Association and later registered with the Shanghai Education Bureau and Shanghai Civil Administration Bureau in November 2002.From then on, the School has successfully held 31 Seminars with over 1000 participants. This represents a new attempt toward a cancer recovery of Chinese characteristics.
In order to help recovering patients after they have surgical operations and chemotherapy, the School focuses on helping the patients better recovered by non-traditional methods, especially by so called ¡°group psychological treatment¡±, which is applied through the whole recovering process. Western and Chinese Psychology and Oncology experts are invited to the school to address on ¡°Chinese Medicine and Oncology¡±, ¡°How to Make A New Life¡±, etc. Physical training experts of the School give patients and their relatives systematic training on how to practice NEW QIGONG which is designed for them. Recovered previous participants are also invited to the school to share their own experiences of how to fight cancer with a positive attitude. The School encourages participants to learn Kara-okay, dancing, and SINGING the song ¡°Grateful Heart¡± by gesture language. In addition, the School organizes travels, parties and games, holds contests of jokes and speeches (with topics such as ¡°My Wishes¡±) and selects ¡°Ambassador of praise¡± among the patients (As praise plays an important role in recovery).
Located at Pu Dong New District, the School boosts a beautiful but well equipped campus . The School has its own recovery center filled with amphitheatre, multi-function room, auditorium, dinning room, ¡°Talking-Therapy¡± Tea House, Chinese Medicine Preparation Room, reading room, mini-gymnasium, dancing room, table-tennis room, billiards room, as well as a white-board-column ¡°get recovered¡±. This way the participants can recover in any of the seven Group Psychological Treatments, i.e., ¡°Confidence Therapy¡±, ¡°Happiness Therapy¡±, ¡°Music-Dance Therapy¡±, and ¡°Empathy Therapy¡± without knowing the existence of these therapies.
Through a interactive study, participants will have a thorough understanding of the causes, transitions and results of cancers in relation to the socio-economic environment, psychological environment and physical conditions. Participants learn the basic knowledge of prevention and treatment of cancer, as well as human body¡¯s reaction to cancer treatment. What¡¯s more important is that participants have a new understanding of life. All these help participants to release depression and reestablish hope in life. It is proved that the process also substantially helps participants keep up their spirits, have a good appetite, sleep well and finally recover sooner and better. Family of participants praises the School for helping the recovery, stabilizing the family thus contributing to the society.
Handbook of Guo Lin New Qigong
Guo Lin New Qigong created by Guo Lin, is a combination of traditional Qigong and modern medicine .Practice has proved that it has a great curative effect on cancers and chronic diseases. You will definitely live longer if you keep doing it.
During the process of spreading Guo Lin New Qigong, Yu Dayuan, an excellent student of Guo Lin and president of Beijing Anti--cancer Paradise, as well as Tang Lingli, and Yuan Suoli, teachers of Guilin City Cancer Recovery Association, carry on the unfinished lifework of Guo Lin and give some teachings in China and overseas They have summarized a scientific, brief and interesting way of teaching Qigong and it promotes the development of Guo Lin New Qigong. Tang Lingli is a student taught directly by Guo Lin. She learned Qigong from Guo Lin in 1981 and went to Zhengzhou, Shanghai and Changsha to teach Qigong in the same year.
Thanks to many people's help, this handbook can be published. Based on the essence of Qigong by Guo Lin, Gao Wenbin, Yu Dayuan and Sun Caiyun, many other people made great efforts on it. Orally taught by Tang Lingli, arranged by Kong Fanbiao, translated by Lin Yan. What's more, the teachers of Guilin City Cancer Recovery Association made this handbook published by practices and many discussions. Guilin City Cancer Recovery Association(International Exchange Center for Guo Lin Qigong) established in 1990 is a corporate body. The aim of the association is: to be optimistic and brave; to make every efforts to fight against cancer and to become stronger. One of its characteristics is that all the members unite as one to fight cancers.
There is a club in the Seven Star park where the teachers of our association teach Guo Lin Qigong. It is under the trees near "Yue Ya" building. The teachers teach Guo Lin Qigong every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and they finish the whole set of Qigong in one month.
